A gentleman, around 70 of age, walks into a jewellery shop
with a young, extremely good looking lady on his arm.
He tells the jeweller that he is looking for something very special for his girlfriend.
The jeweller shows a ring of $ 600.
Oh no, says the man, it must be much more special.
The jeweller goes to the back of the shop and returns
with a marvellous ring of $ 35.000.
The girl’s eyes shine, and she gets really excited.
Yes, says the man, this is the one we want!
The jeweller asks how he wants to pay.
The man says “With a cheque, you can contact my bank first thing Monday morning to make sure that it’s covered, and I’ll come back and pick up the ring Monday afternoon.
Here is my telephone number”

Monday morning, the jeweller rings the customer
and tells him the money is not in the account.
Oh, I know, replies the man,
but I had a marvellous week-end just the same !
