hola, marianiles. saludos desde La Plata, Argentina. bienvenido al foro y ojalá la pases bien en tu "paseo" con nosotros como compañeros de viaje...

como alguien ya te comentó, la convención en muchos foros y chats es q escribir todo en mayúsculas es sinónimo de gritar, pero no es necesariamente para ofenderse: pueden ponerse en mayúsculas las palabrotas pero también expresiones de alegría. es una forma de "levantar la voz" y demostrar enojo o felicidad con las palabras... por eso se estila reservarlas para esos momentos.

yo me acostumbré a prescindir de las mayúsculas iniciales y escribir así, todo en minúscula cuando escribo un mail informal, en el foro o cuando chateo: ¡una forma de rebelarme donde se puede! pero sin mala intención si escribo nombres o lugares con minúsculas...

como el lenguaje mismo, una convención. convengamos, entonces, si te parece (y al resto de los foreros), en que, escriba como escriba, nadie tiene mala intención. ¿ok?

Lauracipolla Mis saludos. Gracias por los comentarios sobre el uso de las mayúsculas. Hubo dos razones para escribir así. La primera fue por vagancia. Es más facíl para mi ya que no domino a plenitud el procesador. La segunda por pensar que sería más facíl para los lectores.

Tú usastes la palabra foreros. Tiene relación con acuerdo entre los de un grupo u organización?

La verdad, Marianiles, aquí se usa el término "foreros" para designarnos a nosotros mismos, los participantes del foro. Eso sólo es forero, así que tú eres uno, yo soy otra... ¡Por supuesto que esta palabra no estará en el diccionario de la Real Academia!

Con respecto a tu pregunta en el post anterior, corríjeme si me equivoco, pero "boricua" significa nativo de Puerto Rico, o puertoriqueño, ¿verdad? ¿Me podrías aclarar si se aplica a todos los puertorriqueños o sólo a algunos (cuáles), es un término amable/ofensivo?

Sería interesante comentar otros "gentilicios no oficiales", ¿no les parece? Pero que cada uno comente si es un buen o mal término, para evitar que podamos ofendernos sin querer.

Hola Lauracipolla!
Sí, el nombre aplica a todos nosotros como guajiro a los cubanos. Otro nombre que usamos es jíbaro. Boricua viene de Borinquen y a la vez de Borikén que es el nombre que le daban los Indios taínos a la isla antes de la llegada de C.Colón.
La mayoría de nosotros la aceptamos gustosamente pero como en todo
hay algunos de nosotros que prefieren ser de estirpe estadounidense pero me refiero a los que lo hacen con fanatismo .
