    Cool Greetings from Granada!

I'm Heath, a British expat resident of Spain for the last eleven years. Made the move to Granada at the start of 2006 and haven't looked back...

A 'guiri' that is now considered an adopted 'Granadino' according to my local friends and colleagues. Throughout my time here my focus has been on freelance journalism (sports), writing, editing, and of course Spanish to English translation.

Along with initiating and managing the official English content for Granada CF over the last five years, I was previously co-owner and chief editor of Inside Spanish Football, which sadly doesn't exist anymore after I sold my half of the business. Other than that I've been busy with various other projects including work with local newspaper, IDEAL Granada, covering the 2017 Sierra Nevada Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championship, which was an absolute blast.

Whilst I don't have any degrees (I never took the academic route in life), nor am I a certified or sworn translator, the proof in the pudding of my capabilities has been my hands-on work for more than ten years. That can prove an obstacle at times, but challenges in life are always there to be overcome. I'm new to working with translation agencies and using CAT tools (currently using MateCAT), as I've always translated manually and from knowledge, so no doubt I'll be keeping a keen eye on these forums in that regard.

That's about it... Look forward to meeting you all when I stop lurking and start posting! I haven't been active on any forums for a good few years, since I was a moderator on the official SI Games Football Manager forum, but that's a story for another day!

Welcome aboard! I'm a football fan as well and my heart is split into different leagues. For the Premiere and FA Cup, I'm a GUNNER! But, in Spain, I'm "merengue" and still celebrating the past Champions' while I'm starting to relish "la Supercopa"... We'll sure have plenty to talk about, so welcome again!

Welcome to the forum Heath! Good to know we can count with one more football fan. I'm french, so I'll have to go ahead and say I am an Arsenal fan too
An interesting fact I have in common with you and gentle: Tony Adams, one of Arsenal's legends, was the Granada CF coach until last month (7 games, 7 losses)

I agree that Arsene needs to go now...but I think the fans are too harsh, let's not forget what he managed to do for the club without any big names like other English teams How about Pires, Wiltord, Campbell...What a team.

Welcome Heath. What an interesting story you have! So you are originally from Britain and now you live in Granada, Spain. Was it hard for you to get used to the life style there? I bet there are many exciting stories lol.
In my case, I have been living in Argentina for about 20 years! Have you ever been to Argentina?

    Hi Heath! Welcome, Bienvenido.
Hope we can learn together a lot!
    Enhorabuena!

Do you know or translate any other languages by heart or by experience? (besides Spanish/English)
