Saludos desde Puebla, Mexico
Hello! I am new to the forum and to translating. I moved to Mexico 3 months ago and am making a career change to translating after teaching high school Spanish for 12 years. I am doing online tutoring at the moment and volunteer translating. Any ideas on how to generate translation work would be greatly appreciated. Getting started is very challenging! My language pair is English to Spanish. :D

Hello Wmegowan. First of all, welcome to the forum! Now, what's your mother tongue? It's always easier (and safer) to translate into one's mother tongue. I would recommend you to visit websites for freelancers like Upwork to set up a translator profile and find information on how to start as a freelance translator.

wmegowan, welcome to the forum!! There also fiverr, a site where people post their aptitudes in order to get freelance work, I don't know if freelancer also might have job opportunities for translators but it's worth to check it out!
Hope it helps!
