    Estoy armando un trabajo para una diseñadora de indumentaria y me nacio la duda sobre el nombre que se les adjudica a cada color en ingles (no quiero caer en una traduccion literal) y considerando que no soy traductora esperaba me puedan ayudar. La duda puntual es sobre los siguiente colores: blanco tiza, fucsia, gris topo, ocre, rosa viejo, turquesa, verde agua y coral.
    Creo q no me olvido de ninguno!

    Usualmente, traducimos “pardo” como “brown”. Pero en realidad, brown es más oscuro y creo que la palabra más correcta será “beige”. Por eso, no me siento muy seguro. Pero creo que los colores deben traducidos como: chalk, fuchsia, taupe, ochre, old rose, turquoise, aqua (con Q), and coral. Al menos, son nombres de colores en inglés.

    Isn't necessary to write "white" in English? Can be just "chalk" without the "white"?

    La palabra "chalk" quiere decir también un tipo de blanca suave. Por ejemplo, permita Google buscar "chalk pants".

    El beige no es otro color? diferente al marron claro.
    Habia escuchado q el fucsia se traduce como magenta, puede ser? o estoy mezclando los colores?

    A mí, la diferencia entre esos dos colores no es de apariencia. “Magenta” es un color básico para las impresoras. “Fuchsia” es el mismo color en las flores y ropa. Pero no soy ningún experto en colores.
