Thread: translate lyrics/words not in dictionary

I love music in Spanish and have many CDs. Some lyrics I can translate,
but often the words of the song are not in the Spanish dictionary. For
example, a song by Enrique Iglesias entitled, "Dimelo". What does this word mean? If anyone knows the song, what is the overall theme?

Dímelo means 'tell me', 'say it to me'.

tell me = Dime

el "lo" se agrega para expresar que querés que te diga algo específico, algo que querés oir, o algo que ya sabés de qué se trata: Sería algo como "Dime eso"

Otro ejemplo es cuando le decís a alguien (pensando en lo que querés que te de) DÁMELO, que es lo mismo que dame eso

Soltalo = soltá ESO
empujalo = empujá ESO
