    Default ¡Pas, cuas, pas!

I'm reading a short story by Luis J. Rodriguez titled ¡Pas, cuas, pas! What does this title mean?

Pascuas = Easter . Maybe the tittle is a pun with the word Pascuas (Easter). But I'm not sure if you can translate this tittle into English keeping its meaning in Spanish. I need more context to help.

    Could this be?

Pas Cuas Pas = Pascuas Paz

Nothing else comes to mind. Could "Cuas" be a shortened version of "cuates" (good friends, pals)?

This is off the subject, but years ago in Mexico I saw T-shirts with the names of foreign businesses.
    Pachin Gase - Paris
    Taka Brown - Tokio

    Finally someone explained
    Pachin Gase = Para chingarse
    Taka Brown = Está cabrón

And then there is the well known Coca Cola logo that really says "Coma Caca".

In Colombia I saw a T-shirt with logos from oil companies.
"Si quieres, Texaco Esso" (Si quieres, te saco eso).

I found the answer in the short story---finally. I guess it's onomatopoeia.

Sorry, folks! Next time I'll read all the way through before I ask.

That's what we get for not hanging around carpenters.
