caminar dentro de mis zapatos
Hola,
Necesito ayuda en la siguiente frase:
"Me dio las chancletas y se me quitó un peso de encima porque ya me veía yo dando saltos de carpa descalzo por la arena ardiendo o caminando dentro de mis zapatos como un paleto".
¿Qué quiere decir "caminando dentro de mis zapatos"?

Weasel words: Spanish is not my first language, but I'm pretty sure it says:
He gave me flip-flops, and that took a load off my mind because I could just see myself hopping around on the hot sand barefoot or walking in my shoes like some doofus.
I think saltos de carpa really means diving, but that doesn't make sense. Help!
But to answer your question, it means just what you think it does. Ή είναι η πρώτη γλώσσα σας τα ελληνικά, and I didn't answer in the right language?

Yes, my first language is greek, but anyway you have helped me a lot.
Just allow me to ask: walking in my shoes means walking with the shoes on my feet?

In both languages it indeed can literally mean walking with the shoes on my feet or as a metaphor for life as in "just try walking in my shoes and see how it feels!" - or - "You would be more sympathetic if you were walking in her shoes". And the metaphor may be more common in English. Usually we would work the word "wearing" in for the literal meaning as in "I was trying to jog wearing my street shoes". But I don't know enough to say if Spanish works that way.
