to weigh anchor (levantar la ancla)

    Default better sense

    Hacer: to make

    Capa: cape or cloak

    maybe: make sail

Default Cockpit has no translation in Spanish?

I´ve heard most Spanish speaking people who have sailboats talk about the "cockpit" of their sailboat...They never use a Spanish term...Do you think there is one? These are small sailboats I´m talking about ...H19, grumetes, cadets...Thanks!

    Hi Sabrina!
I think your question could make a new thread....

And Elmeromero, what does it mean to "hacer la capa"?
