    Default esta o es

What would "Lo que esta" as a title mean to a native speaker of Spanish? Does it make sense? Is it poetic in some way? How does it compare to "Lo que es?"

    HI Maria,

lo que está ....one gets the impresssion that something is missing. Does not make sense.

Lo que es, this does. It means something like: the real thing, realitily

    Good, Exx!

Another example, Maria... This is a very typical mistake/confusion for English speakers: the way to deal with verb "be", and its possible translation into "ser" or "estar". It's difficult to see the difference at first, but it's not impossible!

Ojalá pudiera ir a España. (I wish I could go/travel to Spain).

Ojalá estuviera en España. (I wish I were in Spain).

I agree with you! I would like to visit Spain soon, too!
