    Hello CarlosRoberto:

Literally of course this is "faith of misprints" or "testimony of errors", something like that. I cannot think of an English phrase that captures that meaning. It is the title of a published work "Fe de Erratas de la Bibla" so maybe it is unique. In that context it could mean having faith in printed errors or mistakes such as belief in things that were written in error, as in a newspaper.

So I suggest "belief of error" or "belief in the printed error".

    Hola CarlosRoberto and Vicente!
Vicente, let me explain that fe de errata is used in Spanish when somebody makes a mistake in some kind of publication (it could be a newspaper article, a news, etc) and then in the next issue of the publication, they publish Fe de erratas and there, they explain the mistakes they made in the previous edition. It could be from a person's name to an action granted to a person...
    this is according to RAE

    errata.

(Del pl. lat. errāta, cosas erradas).

    1. f. Equivocación material cometida en lo impreso o manuscrito.
    V.
    fe

Palabra que se da o promesa que se hace a alguien con cierta solemnidad o publicidad.

So, now you have more info my friend, can you give us the English for fe de errata? I'm curious too.
Realmente, el destino del mundo depende, en primer lugar, de los estadistas y, en segundo lugar, de los intérpretes.

    Hi Sandra

Thanks much for the explanation! I learned something new!!

In newspapers and magazines here they just have a "Corrections" column. Very simple but that's the only title I've ever seen.

In the event of a serious misstatement involving somebody's reputation or business matters they also publish a "retraction" of the erroneous information in order to avoid a lawsuit. But incidental and accidental errors are corrected in the Corrections column.

Here is what we cab see in The Chicago Manual of Style

    1.107 Format and placement

Lists of errors and their corrections may take the form of loose, inserted sheets or bound-in pages. An errata sheet should never be supplied to correct simple typographical errors (which may be corrected in a later printing) or to insert additions to, or revisions of, the printed text (which should wait for the next edition of the book). It should be used only in extreme cases where errors severe enough to cause misunderstanding are detected too late to correct in the normal way but before the finished book is distributed. Then the errors, with their locations and their corrections, may be listed on a sheet that is laid in loose, usually inside the front cover. (The sheet must be inserted by hand, adding considerably to the cost of the book.) If the corrected material can be pasted over the incorrect material, it should be printed on adhesive paper. The following form may be adapted to suit the particulars:

    1.146 Acknowledgments

Acknowledgments of reviewers, announcements of awards or conferences, calls for papers, and errata are published periodically in the preliminary pages or at the end of a journal issue. If the issue is a supplement or special issue on a single topic, perhaps representing the proceedings of a conference or symposium, the issue may begin with a title page that contains the title of the supplement, the name(s) of any guest editor(s), information about the source of the articles (perhaps a conference or symposium), and sponsorship information, if any.

    Hope the info is useful.

    Vicente and Kane,

Though I haven't come across a traslation like CarlosRoberto's, I found this information really interesting: Good input!

    Default Thank you very much!!

Thank you all for your help. Your information has been very helpful and has added a bit to my personal knowledge base.
As a conclusion, I must tell you that I found that errata and corrigenda might be the equivalent to fe de erratas. I was told that errata is often used to indicate all the missprints found in a book prior to its publication, but too late to be corrected before it is published; corrigenda is used to list all the errors made by the author of the book that he/she got aware of only too late.

Once again, thank you all for your excellent input.

I hope is not too late:
    CORRIGENDA:
1.an error to be corrected, esp. an error in print.
2.corrigenda, a list of corrections of errors in a book or other publication.
