ayuda con mi "trabajo final de carrera"

Hola! Soy un estudiante avanzado de Ingeniería en Telecomunicaciones en Argentina. Estoy comenzando mi trabajo final de carrera (es algo similar a una tesis, pero no es una tesis) y tengo intenciones de hacerlo en inglés.

Ya me topé con mi primer problema: no se cómo llamarlo. Como se traduciría o como se llama un "trabajo final de carrera" en inglés?
Pensé en "Graduate Degree ..." (falta la parte de "trabajo" que no se como decirlo).

Hola dupin:

Tal vez la palabra que buscas seria "paper". Aqui en los Estados Unidos también dicímos "final paper" en cambio de "thesis".

I agree. Final paper sounds good if you don´t want to refer to it as a thesis. Dissertation can be used in some instances, but I believe that is something akin to a proposal that you have to defend. Not positive on that though. It does sound academic though.

I agree with Justin, though describing it as a "senior project" has come more into vogue over the past few years. And it sounds a bit more distinguished.

Thanks for the replies. I don't want to refer to it as a thesis and since I don't have to defend it I think dissertation is not appropriate.
I like "senior project", really sounds distinguished.
Is good to have some alternatives. I guess I will ask the director of the project which is more appropriate.
