Default Is this correct?

Can some someone confirm my translation is correct ... thanks

"estoy trabajando mucho asi mantengo mi mente ocupada pero no mi alma porque te pertenece a ti nada mas"

I am working very much in order to keep my mind busy but not my heart because it belongs to you and you and no one else.

I agree with Frank, though alma means "soul", but can be translated here as heart.

I'm working very hard to keep my mind occupied but not my soul because it belongs to you and nobody else.

I am working very much in order to keep my mind busy but not my heart because it belongs to you and you and no one else.

Es muy buena traducción.

Me permito añadirle un poco de "feeling":

Estoy trabajando demasiado para mantener mi mente ocupada, no así mi corazón porque ese te pertenece a tí y sólo a tí y a nadie mas.

This translation has at least one flaw. The "and you" is redundant.

"I am working very much in order to keep my mind busy but not my heart because it belongs to you and you and no one else."

Question:

Could somebody please explain the Spanish sentence structure? The "te pertenece a ti" seems wrong to me. Is the "te" supposed to be "le"?

"estoy trabajando mucho asi mantengo mi mente ocupada pero no mi alma porque te pertenece a ti nada mas"

Thanks!!

NO, vicente, the repetition of the pronoun is required and mandatory in these kind of structures. Te is actually the same as a ti.

Cuando el complemento indirecto es un pronombre (a ella, a mí, etc.) la duplicación del pronombre dativo es obligatoria.

Hi vicente!
Exx is right vicente, it's ok to say "te pertenece a ti" (In Argentina we say "te pertence a vos") BUT you can also say "te pertenece"... it's perfectly fine... mi alma te pertenece -
It's very usual in Spanish, when you speak formally, to use "usted" instead of "tú" (or "vos" in Argentina). In that case you say "mi alma le pertenece" o "mi alma le pertence sólo a usted".
