    Default marks or grades?

    Hello,

    Many thanks!!

In the US we say grades, marks is more from the UK, but I am not sure if they use grades as well. Hope it helps!

In the UK ------ in the majority of cases

Any work done in class or for homework is normally given a mark out of ten........ 6/10

End-of-term and end-of-year examinations set in the school by the teachers would be given a percentage mark , out of a hundred, ......e.g. 63%

The external examinations which are taken at 16 , GCSE, and 18, A-levels, etc are given grades, usually A - E

University exams are usually given a percentage during the course. The final degrees are given as ....... first-class, second-class divided into 2.1 and 2.2, and third -class, and also as either Honours or Ordinary Degrees

However individual schools and universities have their own systems so it can be variable.

Hope that helps even if a litle late.

In los estados unidos dicen grades. nunca dicen marks.

Ejemplos: "What was your grade on the test?" "I received an A (grade) on the examination. I got a score of 95"
