hi can anyone help me out with this part of a spanish story?

...o me dejare morir de hambre, porque no hay fuerzas humanas para resistir tanto.
Pero eso de morir tan joven. Y, ademas, nadie sabia que yo era el autor de los versos.
Por ultimo, lector, te juro que no me mate; pero quede curado, por mucho tiempo, de la mania de hacer versos. En cuanto al numero 13 y a las calaveras, otro vez que este de buen humor te he de contar algo tan terrible, que se te van a poner lose pelos de punta.

I know most of it but just a few phrases i cant get.. thanks

Por ultimo, lector, te juro que no me mate; pero quede curado, por mucho tiempo, de la mania de hacer versos. En cuanto al numero 13 y a las calaveras, otro vez que este de buen humor te he de contar algo tan terrible, que se te van a poner lose pelos de punta.

And lastly, reader, I swear to you that I didn't kill myself; but I was cured, for a long time, of the mania of writing verses. As for the number 13 and the skulls, some other time when I'm in the mood I must tell you something so terrible that your hair will stand on end.
