    Default Translate a Message from a Friend of Mine?

    A friend of mine sent me a message (in reply to something that I wrote)...and it was in Spanish. I, of course, don't have a clue what it says, and the translators I tried using don't even recognize some of the words! Could someone please translate this for me? I would really appreciate it.

    Sounds like a badly translated Spanish...

    I like this, I feel I can be with you, but you know...it can't be. Where did our chances go? Probably when I went to Seattle.
    Probably when you said no when I asked "do you want to be with me?"
    When we see the truth, we know, we can't be together. Not because I don't love you or anything, it's because we have different lives...and I live in Washington, stupid, right? When two people are in love and they can't be together.

    I love you Cherise. Smile, I like it when you smile

    Hope it helps!
    Realmente, el destino del mundo depende, en primer lugar, de los estadistas y, en segundo lugar, de los intérpretes.

    You're not the first person to tell me something like that. I guess he's not as Spanish savvy as he claims/would like to be...xD;

    Ah, well. The sentiment is still there (though it's sad, I must say). Thanks a lot for your help; I really appreciate it!
