Hi,
I've just started learning spanish, and i need your help for a word that i'm curious about.
The word "sea".

Where does it cone from?
What does it mean?
Where is it used?

For example in a Juanes song:
"que si me muero sea de amor "
"y si me enamoro sea de vos "

Sea comes from the verb SER, this is a conjugation for the subjunctive mode in Spanish Grammar... this mode expresses possibility, a wish, a fear, a doubt, something that it is not taken for granted...
In this case, the song, it expresses possibility...

Yo sea
Tu seas
El/Ella sea
Nosotros seamos
Ustedes sean
Ellos sean

Si me muero sea de amor... if I die, be it of love
Si me enamoro sea de vos...If I fall in love, be it with you

Hope you can understand now!!! Spanish Grammar is difficult.

"If I fall in love,be it with you"
maybe would be better "be it of you"?

I think it's definetely to fall in love with you...in the song, I mean...
By the way, I was away for a while and I just read nice things on the Happiness thread...I will write more later on that but I wanted to thank you for your words. Si me enamoro sea de vos...If I fall in love, may it be be with you
