    Default would you rather

    I have a grammatical doubt:

Which of the following sentences is correct?

Do you want me to get you a cup of coffee or would you rather I got you a glass of milk?

Do you want me to get you a cup of coffee or would you rather I get you a glass of milk?

    Thank you for your help.

For some reason neither of them sound right to me!
I would say: "Would you want me to get you a cup of coffe or want me to get you a... "

Solfinker, en presente, siempre es 'Would you rather' + verbo en infinitivo (pero sin el 'to')

Y siempre es Would you rather this or that; no lo mezcles con otras estructuras...

    Por ejemplo:

Would you rather I get you a cup or coffee or a glass of milk?

Si tenés dudas respecto al uso de 'Would you rather...' play safe:

Do you want me/Would you want me to get you a cup of coffee or a glass of milk?

    It's much simpler...

I agree with flor. Would you rather walk or ride your bicycle?

Would you rather have a cup of coffee or a glass of milk? Would you fancy a cup of coffee or a glass of milk? (more UK) How would you like either a cup of coffee or a glass of milk?

Sujeto + would rather + verbo infinitivo sin to + complemento.

    Would + sujeto + rather + verbo + complemento?

Would you rather have pizza? = ¿Prefieres comer pizza?

La oración aquí would you rather viene seguida de otra oración I got you a glass of milk.

En inglés: … or would you rather (that) I got you a glass of milk?

    Gracias Cotty.

    En definitiva, que las frases
... or would you rather I got you ...
... or would you rather I cleaned ...

    son correctas.

    Sip. Porque están en subjuntivo.
