Default "claro que si" and "asi es"

Hola forum users. I have heard these phrases used by Peruvian speakers - "claro que si" and "asi es". (Did I spell them correctly?) I would like to know the translations of the phrases and perhaps examples of their usage, differences between the phrases, etc. Are they used in other Spanish-speaking countries? Thanks.

claro que sí = Yes, of course.

así es= I agree. That's the way it is.

Both mean roughly the same depending on the context. However, the first one can also mean of course it is in a conflicting argument to defend /restate your position.

I don't think these are lacalizations, I think they are used by all Spanish speakers in the same way.

    Feliz año!

Cotty, you have helped me before, so thank you once again.

I would assume that así es can also mean that's right.

Feliz año y muchas gracias nuevamente!
