    Default dado que

    Hi everyone,

Laura Almenar EgeaI am writing a cover letter in English and I have some doubts. How you express the following term dado que ....... as in the following sentence?

    My attempt is:

Given that in November of this year I will conclude my Degree in Physics, I seek my first job, where I can go deeper and apply in a practical way my backgrounds knowledges.

    Thanks,

    Laura

    Hola, Laura:

Given that I will get my diploma/finish my studies on Physics in November, I am seeking for a position that will allow me to apply and further develop the skills I acquired at university.

    Espero que sea de ayuda.

    ¡Saludos!

    Laura, y Laural

    casi perfecto
    pero
faltan unas correcciones en el gramatica...

"...I am seeking FOR(quita 'for'; not grammatically correct) a position..."

Yo, tambien, usaria "Since" en lugar de "Given that"...
entonces: "Since I will get my diploma..."

Mi version de esta frase seria:

"Since I will be [receiving my diploma / concluding my study in physics] this November, I am seeking a position wherein I might further cultivate and apply my skills in a practical manner"

Yo, personalmente, incluiria "...apply the skills I [attained / developed / algo asi] at the University of _______ [inserta el nombre de la universidad]..." en lugar de "in a practical manner"

    Hope this helps...

"Since I will be obtaining my diploma / a title in..."
