    Default Como digo esto en inglés?

    Hola! Estoy traduciendo un artículo (una reseña sobre un libro de poemas) y necesito saber cómo traducir estas palabras/frases al inglés:

    "poemario"
    "ese comportamiento humano de probar". No entiendo muy bien a qué se refiere. ¿Sería algo así como un "hábito"/"costumbre de hacer tal cosa"?
    "visceral" en el sentido de "Dicho de una reacción emocional: Muy intensa"
    "la autora realiza un estudio casi fotográfico"
    "tomar las cosas por su nombre". ¿Es correcta la traducción "to speak plainly"?
    "cordobés(a)"
    "ha sabido ver el talento"
    "accésit" ¿= "second prize"?
    "visto desde la sentimentalidad": ¿Puede ser "from a sentimental perspective"?
    "narrativa breve": ¿= "short narrative"?
    "en prensa", es decir cuando tengo "Nombre de la editorial, en prensa"
    "ha alcanzado su segunda edición" (refiriéndose al libro)

    Con cualquier cosa que puedan ayudarme voy a estarles eternamente agradecida!!

    Saludos

    Puedo contribuir unas cosas. Context would be helpful:

    "poemario" ==> collection of poems

    "visceral" en el sentido de "Dicho de una reacción emocional: Muy intensa" ==> Es igual en inglés ==> visceral

    "la autora realiza un estudio casi fotográfico" ==> the author completed an almost photographic study (context?)

    "tomar las cosas por su nombre". ¿Es correcta la traducción "to speak plainly"? ==> to speak plainly está bien

    "cordobés(a)" ==> from Córdoba

    "accésit" ¿= "second prize"? ==> consolation prize (un premio que uno recibe a pesar de NO ganar---premio de consolación)

    "visto desde la sentimentalidad": ¿Puede ser "from a sentimental perspective" Yes!

    "narrativa breve": ¿= "short narrative"? Yes!

    "en prensa", es decir cuando tengo "Nombre de la editorial, en prensa" in press

    "ha alcanzado su segunda edición" (refiriéndose al libro) ==> has completed/published the second edition

    in press vs. in the press

    I think that "in press" means something that is being published but is still in the process so isn't yet available (for example, a book).

    And "in the press" means information disseminated by the media, usually newspaper.

    So context would be helpful.

    I would say "the human tendancy to try".

    Thank you all for your help!!

    "la autora realiza un estudio casi fotográfico" ==> the author completed an almost photographic study (context?)
    "Esta tercera parte es casi la más visceral del poemario ya que la autora realiza un estudio casi fotográfico de cada poema"

    in press vs. in the press

    I think that "in press" means something that is being published but is still in the process so isn't yet available (for example, a book).

    And "in the press" means information disseminated by the media, usually newspaper.

    "Terreno Fértil (Cangrejo Pistolero, en prensa)". "Terreno Fértil" is the title of an anthology.

    Thanks again! I really appreciate that you take the time to help me with this. I'm doing my first translation!!
