    Algo pasó por fuera de la ventana y sobre mi cabeza hubo con una luz y un estruendo.

    "To light" significa aterrizar después de un vuelo. Se usa este verbo especialmente con referencia a pájaros.

    Algo pasó por fuera de la ventana y sobre mi cabeza, y aterrizó con estrépito.

    (La verdad es que "to light with a crash" me suena un poco raro en inglés porque normalmente se usa este verbo con pájaros o cosas que aterrizan ligeramente, no con estrépito.)
