    It is the same as saying
    the dullness of his job
    did not affect him at all, he was invulnerable!
    In Spanish we could say something like
    Lo aburrido del empleo/de su trabajo no lo afectaba en lo absoluto.

    Yo sugeriría:
    "Era inmune al tedio de su trabajo" o, "era invulnerable ante el tedio de su trabajo"

    Ahora, del embeleso o el deleite del romance y la nobleza del esfuerzo o la forma de abordar su empresa, pues depende de la redacción que prefieras. Dudo que la puntuación que has escrito sea la correcta.
