".....asi que lo siento Jose....." jose siendo el nombre mas comun en español como en ingles: en mi opinion no estaria mal usar una traduccion literal ya que si bien traducido en el contexto se entendera.

yo creo que lo resolviste bien. No se si José aporta algo al significado de la oración, y por ahi es un poco confuso... habría que ver como viene el contexto de la frase, pero tu opción me parece correcta
