Default Just one little word...

Hi!
How do you say ' contract manufacturer ' in spanish?

I work in the cosmetic industry and I we produce ingredients that will be formulated ( turn into end products) by contract manufacturers before being launched on the market.
I hope this is clear...

Thx

A mi me suena a "fabricantes subcontratados", el contrato se da a empresas fabricantes grandes que, a su vez, subcontratan trabajo a otros fabricantes mas pequeños pero con las mismas obligaciones que el contratista principal.

Your father also told you to meddle in the midst of a thread where someone might be making a query that could be important to him/her or to the job he/she is working on...?
I think what your father taught you was bad manners...

Any moderators in this forum???

Anne I think you're looking for the exact equivalent of "outsourcing" there's no such direct translation into Spanish, but to explain the whole idea "contratación de servicios externos para llevar a cabo los procesos de negocios".

As I answer you on your previous thread about this very same question,
they are the "Fabricante(s)", while you are the Producer, I meant the "Productor(a)". There's no need of any further explanation if you clearly identify yourself as the producer only.

Here,
Producir 7. tr. Econ. Crear cosas o servicios con valor económico.

Fabricar 1. tr.

Saludos, t.

Sorry, I forgot it's in English..
I understand that "outsourcing" is about the external contracting/sub-contracting of complementary services (or specific functions that are not essential) for the company, specially to reduce costs, but the main activity is made by the company itself.

Yes Turissa outsourcing most of the times refers to services rather than articles and products.

I should have then written to Anne that she's looking for the equivalent of outsourcing with regard to the manufacturing processes.

Unless someone else can give a better option I still insist that while naming her company the producer, the provider should be the manufacturer.

So let's see if this suits your text: Fabricante proveedor.

I see this little habit of yours to twist things around to suit you, is going to have to stop. Now, the word Anne's looking for is "fabricantes subcontratados". Please let me see where you got "Fabricante proveedor" from. (That should be interesting).

Saludos, t.

Calm down Turissa

You actually buy the products from the manufactures. That's where I got it from. And how do you call in Spanish those who provide you with the items and products that your company needs?
Say, Proveedores. That's where I got it from.
And what is the legal instrument among both of them? A contract.

Don't worry about it, I've had my fill of this forum.

No-one answered when I said hello, nobody seems to agree, just hammer down what they think it's right, even if it's wrong, advertising in the middle of a thread.... this is the far west without a sheriff.

I hope no-one bothers to say good-bye either, that would really piss me off.
