    Hi silgreen,

    Could you provide more context?
    Pub? Camp?
what exactly these two refer to? pub as in bar in England? Camp as in summer camp or as in...??
It will be too difficult to start giving you possible translations without knowing exactly what you refer to.

It's hard to find exquisite cocktails when you're on a budget, at Annex 3 (6 Little Portland Street, W1W 7JE; 020-7631 0700; annex3.co.uk) your tipple will set you back less than a tenner. Annex 3 is a camp extravaganza. Be prepared to be dazzled by starburst chandeliers, rococo mirrors, gaudy floral wallpaper and fairy lights on glass-topped tables. The cocktails are similarly flamboyant:
From "Things to do in London for under £10" (de allí el tenner)

    Hi aleccowan,
I see you have provided the context but no possible translation...

Extravaganza: an event or display (dramatic, musical, etc) of fantastic or chaotic behaviour or conduct
    CAMP:
-providing sophisticated amusement by virtue of having artificially (and vulgarly) mannered or banal or sentimental qualities; "they played up the ...
-any lavishly staged or spectacular entertainment
    I would say exagerado. BUT...

I am not sure but I guess, reading the whole paragraph that this is positive sentence, so I would translate it as

Annex 3 es un tremendo espectáculo

because if I use exagerado, then it may be have a negative effect.

    What do you think?

    o "funky".

Thank you, but it wasn't me who asked.

IMHO camp here is used as adjective meaning amanerado, afectado, exagerado, similar to the English term flamboyant, and extravaganza is meaning something like "despliegue inusual" or "desacostumbrado".

I would say something more in the style of

is a camp extravaganza = es un gran despliegue con algo de pluma / es un despliegue estrambótico / es un ambiente extravagante y algo loco

    Hi alec,
I like very much the last option you offered

es un ambiente extravagante y algo loco
although not sure about loco. I think the author is trying to offer a positive view of the place and trying to attract customers. But I would definitely support your option.
