He aquí 10 de nuestros favoritos:

    Thomas suggested correctly

Benilde, for "que se llevará el crédito", how about "que reta la crisis de crédito"? The idea is that people are having credit problems and that the promoters have come up with something that they can do without having credit worries.

From "Tnews", Lima, Peru.

In addition to being an "extreme" traveller or thrill-seeker, a city-breaker can also be a member of a break-dance crew.

    Thomas thanks God you appeared,
So we’re talking about “credit crunch”… nowI see.
HahaHaHaahAAa! Once again for my record!

I insisted in relating “crunch” to the sound of every step of those city breakers!
    Thanks Thomas.

As per city-breakers, yes indeed, that means a whole sentence in Spanish; so I've chosen to write “paseantes que se recrean”.
“nuevos destinos” let’s say the most important aspect of this concept, I integrated it just as you suggest.

Hi! Thanks for your help! i like very much your translations!
So a city breaker is somebody who does a city break. But I haven't found a way of translatting the word yet, how would you do it?
The rest of the translation you did is perfect!

Not sure what you are looking for. This is what I got from a Peruvian source: "Los denominados "city breaker", que es un turista que busca nuevos destinos, poco masivos y remotos, donde pueden encontrar nuevas sensaciones y experiencias."

To start off, "city breaker" and "city break" are clearly slang. As you know, a slang word in one language often lacks a counterpart in the target language and must be explained. (Benilde said more or less the same thing. I believe she wrote that she needed a sentence for it.) It looks to me that "city break/breaker" is one of those slang words without a simple translation in Spanish at this time. The fact that a Peruvian source is using the term in English seems to confirm that. If the word has special appeal to you (perhaps it's needed for advertising purposes), a possibility is to go ahead and use it in English but with an explanation in Spanish. If you were writing in English, you wouldn't hesitate to use words like tango, salsa, sombrero, hacienda, casa, etc. Right?

Still my favorite "anglicismos" are Bar, Club, Rock and also I prefer Cocktail, rather than Coctel. I do accept "anglicismos" when we import the whole cultural concept. But in this case, every city has its own city-brakers, it is not a new approach to something different in life.
