    Exclamation "Bust Their Ass

    Hola, necesito su ayuda, gracias.

He skips the once-weekly "Bust Their Ass" meeting, where editors discuss investigative stories that will, Rosenthal hopes, inspire envy in other papers
No asiste, en cambio, a la reunión semanal, "deshacerse el trasero", en la cual los editores discuten historias de investigación que, según espera Rosenthal, inspiren la envidia de otros periódicos.

To bust one's ass = to work very hard.

Yep. It could be translated as "trabajar muy duro"
So, in your context, you could use "Trabajo Duro", as a noun (since it's the name of the meeting:

No asiste, en cambio, a la reunión semanal, "Trabajo Duro", en la cual los editores discuten historias de investigación que, según espera Rosenthal, inspiren la envidia de otros periódicos.

    Hope it helps.
    Regards.

Trabajar duro is correct, as busting your ass is definitely work very hard, but in my opinion you lose "el tono" of the text, which is colloquial. I's say something like "partirse el espinazo" (break your back).

Oh and *partirse el culo (de risa)* (break/bust your ass) in Spain means to have a good laugh!
