Honored and Profound words? Help!
Hi all!
I'm a rookie here!
I work on our school's Newsletter and Always do the Spanish Translations. And sometimes I get stuck!
So I tend to ask my "advisors" (remember Transformers?!) and sometimes even they can't help!
How do you translate "honored"? ie. I've been honored to serve you all.
Ditto for "profound words"? ie. I wish I had some profound words for you at this time....

I was honored: Tuve el honor
...palabras profundas... can do. There are other ways to put this but it will depend on the context.I wish I had some profound words for you at this time....

I had used "me siento dichoso" as a 'if all esle fails' translation!
And I did use "palabras profundas" in the transltion, I'm glad I wasn't off!
The entire sentence actually read "I wish I had some profound words for you at this time, but instead, I'll only say 'thank you'.

If you say "me siento dichoso" it would be the translation for "I feel lucky". "Honored" is really a more "profound word".
