Hi Suzie, it might be helpful to provide what you want to say in English alongside your translation...just to make sure we know where you're going with this.

Hi Scott, basically I would like to send an email to my niece informing her that from now on her new nic name wil be "Nena" because I was told it means "Little One" if so, well then I find it reflects and suits her well, also being that she is a cute little chubby baby...lol even though she is 9 years old, she will always be my little baby niece no matter the age..!!

Thank you for your help Scott.

SuzieQ, now that we have clarified that...I, as a non-native speaker, would say "te llamo nena". "Te refleja" sounds wierd to me, but I can't think of an alternative. Also, be sure to spell "nombre" correctly the second time and "muchísimo" is the correct spelling. I am sure that others will be coming soon to give additional feedback.

    Best of luck

OK great! I will make the changes, though I do have a question. Why? does "Te Refleja" sound wierd, does it not mean it suits her fine? or how would you say nena suits her perferctly being that she is a little baby.

    Thanks Scott

To me, "reflejar" has a nearly identical meaning as "reflect"...and it sounds weird to ME, not saying it is incorrect. I would have used "te favorece" or "te queda perfecto".

OK, Let's see if I got this right! I added a few changes too.

HOLA CHIQUITA, DE AHORA EN ADELANTE TE LLAMO NENA. NENA ES LINDA Y SUENA AGRADABLE, Y ADEMAS ESTE NOMBRE TE QUEDA PERFECTO.

How does this sound to you Scott?? Does it sound OK? and once again thank you for helping me out!

As a native speaker I would write:

A partir de ahora te llamaré "nena", es bonito y te queda bien porque eres una nenita linda y siempre lo serás para mí, aunque vayas creciendo.

I think these words express correctly what you want to say to your niece.

    best regards

Yes, It does sound much better. I did want to say something like that, I just didn't know how to put it down in words.

    Thank you Anais.
