I have several employees from all over mexico with very low education levels, can you translate this? If you use modern slang to get it across it would be better because my employees always tell me i'm saying it wrong when i try out of a book.
thanks for looking. Please scrub that framework. Go get some scrub soap and scratch pads. Please clean this off. Go get a squeegee and wipe down the water. Is this your area? Is your area almost done? Were is…? Could you go clean those… Were are your safety glasses? Where is your goggles? Please put your jewelry in your locker. please put your hair net over your ears. |

Hi Tatara, welcome to the forum. I think this is an interesting request. Wait for our Mexican friends to share their view.

Tatertatum This is what I tell my mexican house cleaner, and her husband who does odd jobs around the house. They both understand me. The advantage I might have over you is that as Spanish is so rich, there is a litany of terms I find myself using if they don't understand one of them. like: paño, trapo, estropajo, toallita, franelita... Como lo llaman en Mexico ??? Please scrub that framework. Por favor friega ese marco Go get some scrub soap and scratch pads. Traiga jabon de fregar y cojines de fregar (como "scotchbrite") Please clean this off. Por favor limpia esto. Go get a squeegee and wipe down the water. anda trae el mope/trapeador y seca/trapea el piso/superficie con agua Is this your area? Es esta tu zona? Is your area almost done? Esta tu zona casi lista? Were is…? Where is..? Donde esta....? Could you go clean those… Puedes ir a limpiar esos.. Were are your safety glasses? Where are your safety glasses? Donde estan tus anteojos de seguridad Where is your goggles? Donde estan tus lentes/anteojos de seguridad ? Please put your jewelry in your locker. Por favor pon tus joyas en el locker please put your hair net over your ears. Porfavor cubrete las orejas con la net del cabello. It works for me! Good luck! Hola:
Sólo unas precisiones. En México, al trapo de fregar lo llamamos "jerga", y a las "scotchbrites" les decimos "fibras". Tatertatum, I think these phrases I list below will work well. I believe any mexican would understand them at once. Saludos desde México. Please scrub that framework. Por favor sacude ese marco Go get some scrub soap and scratch pads. Trae detergente y fibras. Please clean this off. Por favor limpia esto. Go get a squeegee and wipe down the water. Trae una jerga y seca el piso. Is this your area? ¿Te toca limpiar aquí? Is your area almost done? ¿Ya casi terminas donde te tocaba? Were is…? ¿Donde está....? Could you go clean those… ¿Podrías limpiar aquellos... Were are your safety glasses? ¿Donde están tus lentes de protección Where is your goggles? ¿Donde estan tus lentes protectores? Please put your jewelry in your locker. Por favor, guarda tus joyas en el locker. please put your hair net over your ears.
