The simplest form would be in the third person present tense.

Rie ahora. Llora luego

or

Rie hoy, Llora mañana

Not to complicate matters but, since this is a tattoo I guess you want to be sure to get it right for the person being tattooed so you might want to think about the message being sent because you are dealing with a question of the proper conjugations of the verbs reir (to laugh) and llorar (to cry). Do you, or your client(s), want it to say "(Let's) laugh today and (we'll) cry later", or "(I'll) laugh today and cry later; or (you) cry today, laugh later. They are all written differently.

Gaz, I agree completely with Vicente about finding out what the person to be tattood wants,

Another opotion could be:

Ahora reí, más tarde llorá
Reí ahora, llorá después (i have changed the order of the adverb regarding the English version) In Argentina, it would be more natural the latter phrase.

Hope it helps. DIEGO

Hi gaz, which country or nationality do you tattoo it for? As diego said, in Argentina one would use a different wording than in Spain, for example.

Oh, then you might want a European point of view. I live in Spain and I would say:

Ríe ahora, llora después

Primero risas, después lágrimas.
It needs to be short I suppose?

If not:

Ríe ahora y deja los lloros/las lágrimas para después.

Hi Gaz007!
I like Exx suggestion... sounds perfect

Just one (curious) question: Why don't you write it in English?

Regards,
