Default Argue a call

Hi!

Would you help me translate the following phrase into Spanish?

"argue a call"

Context:

If a coach argues a call he may be flagged. If the coach continues to argue a call the coach may be red flagged. Resulting in banishment from the field. If a coach is red flagged the team is to play without a coach the rest of the tournament.
Thanks!!!

Default Argue a call

Hi Nadia,
From the context given by you this text seems to make reference to a car race. I think "Argue a call" is when a pilot argues a resolution from the referee. I suggest "discutir una llamada de atención", though there might be a more technical option...

Sabrina, I don't agree. I know it says "flagged", but at the same time race car teams don't have a "coach" and don't appear in "tournaments". I say it's something more like a soccer match where the person has chosen to call the cards "flags"...

By the way, I just wanted to say that I agree with exxcéntrica: a coach or player would "argue a call" with the referee by standing there yelling and yammering like Donald Duck...which can be a red "flag" infraction, depending on the language used...

Hi Sabrina, I thought like Scott it was a soccer or even basketball match.

This is news to me! In all my years watching baseball I have never seen a "flag" thrown or waved or anything similar. In baseball if a coach is ejected it is done with an arm motion by the umpire. At least, here in the U.S.

Hi everybody!

Vincent, you really made me think with your comment, YOU ARE RIGHT! so (curious as I am, you know ) I made some research... And this is what I found:

We are NOT talking about a baseball game but a PAINTBALL TOURNAMENT. In this link you'll find what it is: http://www.starspangledcelebration.org/ and in this link you can read the rules: http://www.starspangledcelebration.org/Paintball07.doc. The exact sentence is on the Game Rules section, item 8.

Now it's crystal clear for everybody...

Weird though, as Nadia, who posted the question confirmed the baseball match...
