Default Tower of Bable Confusion

Help! I can almost always get it by using on-line translators, and then a good dictionary to crorrect the gibberib, but this one was too much for the on-line program.

Hola Scott, no tienes que disculparte por tu pregunta, lo que pasa es que no te respondi porque no entraba al correo hace dias. Con respecto a tu pregunta si podemos salir a cenar cunado vengas a Colombia, por supuesto que si, no hay ningún problema. Deseo que estes muy bien y seguimos en contacto. chao

Could some one please help me with this? I would sure appreciate it.

Hi Scott, don't apologize for asking the question, the thing is I hadn't answered because I wasn't getting any mail for days. Answering your question, of course we can have lunch when you come to Colombia, of course, no problem at all.. I hope you are very well and we will stay in contact.

Thankyou so much for that response. It helps so much I nearly feel I should be paying for it, and maybe I should. Does this site take contributions or what is the general sense of it's care and operation.

The answer you gave me is quite different in it's meaning than what Babel-Fish gave me. The translation BF gave me nearly had me doubting the ladies honesty on a certain level. What a relief. Thanks

Hi, the translation is pretty good, but I have 2 comments: Cenar is dinner and not lunch, and I wouldn´t repeat of course twice in the same sentence. You may check this:

Hello Scott, you don’t have to apologize; the thing is I didn’t reply back because it’s been days since I last checked my mail. Answering your question, of course we can go out for dinner when you come to Colombia, no problem at all. I hope you’re fin, and let’s keep in touch. Chao.

Hi, Lamia. I find your translation very precise and elegant. I would only change the last word. In Spanish we say "Chao", which is the phonetic transcription of the term, but in English it is more common to put it as it is spelled in Italian, "Ciao".

hi, oldmanrip! this forum is just a great place to share information on a non-professional, non-profit basis!!! we all love the languages and many of us are professional translators, but everybody's welcome to contribute with their experience or knowledge of their native -or some other- language... we're all in need at times of help to find the exact/local equivalent of a word, and we are all equally qualified to give a suggestion/ option/ correction, etc... we all contribute voluntarily and not to be paid for it.

think of it as a medical forum where you could ask what to do about some medical condition and anybody (doctor or other) could give you a suggestion of what to take or do... it wouldn't replace an appointment with a doctor, an "official" diagnosis, a **** recipe, Xrays, surgery!!!

feel free to ask (language questions, please), and to contribute if you feel you can be of help (for free, of course!)

great to have you among us!
