Hello everyone! I am translating a literary text where is obligatory to translate the abbreviation of "ciudad" (cd.) to english.

Estoy traduciendo al ingl�s un texto literario donde es indispensable traducir "La cd. podrida" as�, abreviado.
Creo que he visto ct. para abreviar city, pero no estoy segura, �alguien me podr�a ayudar? Mil gracias de antemano.

hello,

I always though that the abbreviation of ciudad in Spanish was cdad.

I've never seen the word city abbreviated in English.

Buenas noches,

I agree with the previous posts. I have never seen the word "city" abbreviated. I came across a different forum in which somebody suggested "CTY," but like I said, I've never seen it before.

Your advice where really useful!!! Finally I quoted the sentence in spanish and made the clarification in English... I hope it is o.k.
