    Default Pelincha

A friend mentioned a dog in Honduras named "Pelincha". Is anyone familiar with this name/word? I wonder if it's related to "peluche" (como los "animales de peluche"). Pelincha is a name in Portuguese, but it would be very unusual in Central America for someone to give a human name to a pet.

Is that so in Central America?. Not in Argentina, that´s very common. I myself have two cats named Sofía and Ian

I have heard Pelencha for humans, this is very farmer's like but it's very common to name horses, cows, and other animals with human names in the countryside, so Pelencha could have been my aunt's name and also, my grandpa's cow!!!
