myspace comments
i was reading comments on my friends' myspace pages... and i came across one that i'm not sure i'm understanding correctly... can someone please help? the slang and intentional typos are throwing me off... a lot...
JAJAJA AY TE CONTARE ALGO SUPER CHISTOSO JAJAJA EL PEDO CON LA TRACY SE HISO UNA BOLITA DE NIEVE PERO KBRONA XD JAJAJ PERO ESA ,,.,,ESA ES OTRA HISTORIA ....Y POS IGUAL DECIDI INTENTAR TENER UN BB CON MI EX A VER KE PASA :S JAJAJA COMO KE ES LA EPOCA DE LAS DECICIONES..... is he calling tracy a b****? and is he trying to have a baby with his ex? i'm so confused... it's like a soap opera... any help is appreciated. thanks!!! -kelly  |

I am not a spanish native so take my interpretation with a grain of salt but this is what I read... Haha I want to tell you something super funny haha, *something* about Tracy, she/he made a ball of ice (snowball?) but what a dumbass haha, but that's another story...and also I have decided to try and have a baby with my ex, we'll see what happens, haha that is an epic decision Anyway... sounds like a soap opera indeed!! hi...i'm a spanish native but not from mexico so maybe i'm not right ...

i want to thank everyone for their replies...
it definitely makes more sense now... i guess maybe a little background would help make the rest of it make a little more sense...? the person who posted this met tracy while on a trip and they had a fling... which ended up lasting beyond the trip, through the internet. so, i guess he was saying it has snowballed from what it started out as... the thing i really am the most curious about is if anyone can tell if he's making fun of tracy for being so serious about it... and whether deciding to have a baby with his ex is past tense or present... "i had decided" vs. "i have decided." because that would make a huuuuge difference to tracy...  |

pedo means fart but also when you are drunk people say you have a pedo... but in this particular case pedo refers to a problem that turned into an ice ball, so it got bigger and bigger.
deciding to have a baby refers that he made a decision, so it's a fact that he wants to have a BB with X. he said this is a time for decision...(epoca de decisiones)

"Pedo" is a vulgar word that literally means "fart", but it can change meaning according to context and the words that surround it. It could also mean drinking.
Here are some examples. All the expressions are colloquial and vulgar: To be "al pedo" means to be idle, with nothing to do (estoy al pedo, es domingo). To be "en pedo" means to be drunk (Juan está en pedo, se tomó toda la cerveza). To have one means drunkness (Tengo un pedo, tomé mucho). If you did something "al pedo" means it was not needed (compré galletitas al pedo porque ya había).

I think he's not really interested in Tracy anymore... What was a fling, got much bigger than expected, he says. Anyway, it's time for decisions and he's decided to have a baby with another woman... I agree with SandraT.
If Tracy is your friend, I think you should tell her. Hope it helps!
