ROSEMARY

Cascading white hair
splashes over shoulders
decorated with tattoos,
scratches
and other souvenirs
of relationships
that left her craving for
something that would leave
a deeper impression.

Once a man broke her back.

Another tried to
wear her down
with gifts,
European vacations
and his undivided
attention.

Several have threatened suicide
and just the other night
one blackened her eyes.

But no one
has marked her
in a way
that has lasted
or mattered.

And it’s driving her crazy.

Pero nadie la ha marcado de una forma Imperecedera o significativa : y eso la está enloqueciendo".
