I don't know why but I am having trouble getting my posts to stick and I'm double posting as a result

"I guess that a real native speaker wouldn’t go on about how fluent, accurate or proficient he / she is. " If that wasn't intended as an insult then what was it?

Of course I'll help you with a question, if I can. What's the question?

Genial!! Como se dice "acompañante terapeutico". Alguien cuyo trabajo es acompañar a una personal con discapacidad física o mental.

Therapeutic companion? or something of the sort?

That's a good question. I'd say they're simply called nurses (generically) but there is a company in my area that provides such services and they call them "Home Health Aides" for those who provide general health care for the elderly and disabled.

Here's another one called a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or Occupation(al) Therapist Assistant.

Check this site for a list of physical therapy related positions.

"Finding your dream allied travel assignment is easier than ever. PTs, (Physical Therapist) PTAs, (Physical Therapist Assistant) OTs (Occupational Therapist) , OTAs (Occupational Therapist Assistant), COTAs (Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant), and SLPs (Speech Language Pathologist) ..."
