    Hi guys!
How would you translate "wildlife biologist" into Spanish?
    Thanks!

    I would suggest: Biólogo Naturalista

Wildlife is literally "vida salvaje", so I suggest "biólogo especialista en vida salvaje". I don´t know an especific term for this in spanish. Hope it helps

Hi Fernando, as you know translation takes more than literally translating words from one language to another, wildlife is more than "vida salvaje", it's also "habitat natural", "silvestre", etc, which in this case should probably mean that the bioligist studies the animals (or whatever) in their own natural enviroment. That is why Hebe suggested the word ambientalista and I suggested naturalista.

That was my understanding too Sandra. We see things eye to eye. Based on that description that you just gave I also suggested the word “ecólogo” defined as : “Biólogo especializado en el estudio de la ecología. Científico que estudia los organismos y su ambiente”. www.ambienteecologico.com/ediciones/diccionarioEcologico/diccionarioEcologico.php3
What do you think of this latter option?

    Best regards

    Thumbs up

You are so good my friend!!! Yes, I think that is a proper definition. To tell you the truth, I had no idea and even when I read the word Ecologo, it sounded a little bit strange to me. But now, it looks as the best option...
