    Hola. ¿Qué significa "high saint days" en la frase siguiente?: Besides the strawberry season, there were other festive occasions and high saint days and holidays which I had been in the habit of spending at Fairy Water for more years than there is any necessity to specify.

    Yo entiendo "High Saint Days" como "feriados religiosos".

    Esto se contrasta con otros feriados (holidays) que no son religiosos, como podria ser por ejemplo el Dia del Trabajo o el Dia de la Independencia

    Sí, pero "feriados" no es una palabra común en español. ¿No podría ser mejor "festividades religiosas"?

    Puedes utilizar festividades tambien pero Feriado es una palabra comun ...

    Festividad para mi es algo que se festeja pero no necesariamente es un feriado es decir un dia no laborable. Asi por ejemplo el dia de Bajada de Reyes en algunos paises es algo que se festeja pero la gente igual va a trabajar.
