How would this best be translated in Spanish:
How did you find us? or what would be better, How did you locate us? This is referring to a web page. Thanks. |

Last edited by Mexican Translator : 05-14-2007 at 12:00 PM. |

Just confirming David's suggestion but I wanted to point out that generally you ask
"How did you find us?" referring to a web site (this also applies to facilities)...the Spanish question would be "Cómo nos encontró/ halló?" o "Cómo supo de nosotros?"

I agree with David's suggestions. I only add that I would prefer the third one "¿Cómo nos localizó?"

Just wanted to comment that when you usually say "locate" is because you had previous reference about it. You locate an address, a restaurant, for example, but you knew about it before.
Normally, the question on the website would be "find", because that is what they want to know and that is why I suggested either "Cómo supo de nosotros" because maybe the reference came from somebody else or "Cómo nos encontró" because maybe they found the site through a link or googling... I have worked a few times with web sites and that is the question we post.
