I have a client who only wants me to translate certain paragraphs or sentences in several newspaper articles. Should I translate the whole thing and just italize or put in bold the parts that he requires to be translated or should I just translate the parts he wants me to? In this case, what should I put in the translation to indicate that it doesn't cover the whole article?

Hi Josie!
My advice is that you translate only what you are requested and paid for. But you may want to read the whole text to understand better the part you�ll be translating.

Yes, I would do that too.
If the client requested certain parts, then he'll be looking for those bits, and I don't think you should write anything to indicate it.
Just include the source text, with those translated sentences, and keep the formats. Good luck!
