    Default "Taken away" en este contexto.

    Hola a todos, soy nueva aquí así que si estoy haciendo algo mal por favor díganme. Esque necesito ayuda con una traducción. Cuando alguien dice estás oraciones refiriendose a que solía vivir en una casa muy viva/movida/con mucha gente. pero ahora vive solo.

    -My home was just as lively as this back then. Brings back memories.
    -But, I had that taken away.


    Como traducirían "taken away" aquí? He estado pensando en: "Pero, tuve que renunciar a ello." pero no estoy segura.

    El concepto parece ser ese q decís... Capaz con un poco mas de contexto es mas fácil de descifrar..

    Bueno la historia de que quien dijo eso es larga, solía vivir con mucha gente y en una casa viva pero se termino hartando y decidió vivir solo e independiente.

    Entonces va a visitar a un grupo de amigos, donde dos de ellos siempre se están gritando, entonces ahí viene:

    A:Heey, why are you guys acting like this in front of our guest here?!

    B:This is nice...

    A:Huh?

    B:My home was just as lively as this back then. Brings back memories. But, I had that taken away.

    Me fue arrebatado (mi hogar [eso] es el antecedente).

    Pregunta Cotty. El antecedente en ese caso no sería "memories"? No son los recuerdos los que fueron arrebatados? Planteo esta duda

    Ric, yo creo que es my home puesto que estructuralmente si fuera memories (pl.) diría those (pl.) en lugar de that (sing.) Semánticamente también tiene más sentido que te alejen o arrebaten tu casa que los recuerdos, porque creo que esos nadie te los puede quitar.

    Pero como siempre, tú sabes, un poco más de contexto ayudaría.
