How would you translate "is a fracture at the congruence of two major plates"?

    I would say:
es una grieta en la unión de de dos grandes placas (tectónicas).

    Hope it helps!

    Hey nanarofie,
Its always best if you send a bit of context... But my attempt would be:
Es una fractura en la congruencia de dos placas importantes (if you are talking about geography)

    Yes, its geography!!

"The San Andreas Fault is a fracture at the congruence of two major plates of the earth's crust, one of which supports most of the North American continent, and one of which underlies the coast of California and the ocean floor of the Pacific."
