Sandra,
that is still 75% and that means CUM LAUDE (with honor) you are also the most faithful fan of the French section here, and I'm very happy with that ! au revoir, Frank.

Salut Frank,

I agree... I think this is one of the hardest concepts to grasp in the entire language, at least for me! |

Matthewg,
y – en must be as hard for you as “por/para” is for us ... one of the main differences is the direction : j’y ajoute (I add to it : from me to ...) j’en prends (I take away from ... to me) but it is much more complicated than that : j’y pense (I think of it) yet qu’en penses-tu ? (what do you think about it) and tu n’y penses pas ! (you are not serious !) The one thing to remember is the direction rule, otherwise you’re in for a lot of studying ! kindest regards, Frank.

wow! Thanks Frank. Very interesting!
I got a 18/20 on the first, on dirait pas mal... I´ve been studying french for some time and Y and En are still one of my biggest fears. I´ve stopped trying to study it and just use it the way I hear it being used and sounds best when I´m about to apply it...not the best solution though! |
