Confirmed! Thank you all for your contributions! An additional comment: you need to open the PPTX (from Office 2007) with Tag Editor 2007 from Trados updated with Service Pack 2. To make this Service Pack work it´s better to uninstall Trados and reinstall it along with the Service Pack, otherwise you run the risk that not all features become updated.
PS: ElVizconde's alternative with HTML or RTF is an interesting one! I promise to explore it too!

Thanks for the tip Rodrigo! The only thing translators need to be aware of is that Office 2007 makes your PC incredibly slow...so if you are in the midst of a rush...(as translators usually are... ), it's something to think about...

It´s a matter of looking for a bit more RAM and capacity in your hard drive. Some smart freelancers might consider it an investment rather than an expense

Hi Vizconde! I'm back and unfortunately with the same problem. I've tried saving the slide with Smart Graphic imagery as HTM and RTF with no success.
I hope the resurrection of this thread will light up my lack of knowledge on this matter

Well, no success on my side either.

I opened the PPTX and Save it As rtf and html format.
but, I´m missing a lot of text.
In the rtf format, I have the same editable text that I got when I saved it as ppt.
In the htm format, I only get the titles, but with no content at all.

Am I missing something here? Anybody can help? PLEASE!

    So far, I tried:
    - Saving the pptx as ppt, rtf, htm
    - opening the ttx done with trados 7 in trados 6.

thank you guys for your help

and this is the error message I get:

Filler definition not found: SDL Trados Power Point 2007. Filler 1.0.0.0
Failed to retrieve tag toolbar settings for plugin file format.

I´ve been googling this error with no success, nobody seems to have an answer about it.

I´ll go on searching and keep you posted. cheers
