Kelly, I don't think Vicente implied that anywhere, actually.

most people would write it that way.
In that regard I believe my version would be better understood in the U.S.

I think you skipped the underlined part in Vicente's post.

And I also think that you, we, should definitely leave it at that.

Since I also live in the US it still sounds arrogant to me. But I agree with you, we should leave it at that.

    Kelly...I just noticed your post.

I am sorry if my post sounded arrogant and I apologize to anyone else in the forum who thought that it was. It certainly was not my intention to offend anybody. Sometimes there is a fine line between being confident and being arrogant.

Let's just say "you are confident!"

OK. But being confident doesn't mean that I think that I don't make mistakes. I know full well that I do. I just hope to be somewhat gracious and not too defensive when I'm caught!

    Peace

Just so you know(or maybe you just forgot it accidentally ), "pena" also means "shyness" according to a definition I just found in the "Diccionario Larousse de la Real Academia Española". It reads as follows :

Colombia, México, América Central, Venezuela Vergüenza o cortedad que puede tener una persona para ejecutar alguna cosa:
se sonrojaba de pena cuando tenía que hablar en público .

In my turf, it is quite common the use of this term when it comes to performing an action that will make you blush..you know..for instance, it might cause your face to get a sort of reddish-like color.. A tomatoe is the most common noun we use when making comparisons.

    Regards,
