Elvizconde's point is well taken, and this is off topic, but just to clarify an apparent mis-statement: the United States does not have the largest hispanic population in the world. The U.S. has an estimated 44.3 million hispanics. Spain has 45.2, Colombia 45 and Mexico 103.2 million.

Also, while it is certainly true that the U.S. has a huge hispanic population it should be noted that are many, many people of hispanic descent who are second, third, fourth, fifth generation citizens of the U.S. and do not speak a word of Spanish. My step-daughters, for example, were third generatrion Mexican-American and neither of them spoke Spanish nor did they have any interest in learning it, much to the dismay of their grandparents, who spoke only Spanish.

    Thanks for the correction.
