Hot-formed heading or bending may cause development of a scale that requires an extended time of pickling to remove. Should this occur on screws, scale removal prior to threading is desirable in order to avoid overpickling of the threaded area. Se trata de una especificacion ASTM para galvanizado en caliente. La conformación en caliente de cabezas o de dobladuras puede ocasionar la aparición de escamas que requieran una larga imprimación para su sustracción. Si esto ocurriese en la fabricación de tornillos, será deseable la eliminación de las escamas antes de enroscar con el propósito de evitar una imprimación excesiva (OR "un lacado excesivo") de la superficie roscada. |
